Welcomed at The Throne of Grace

“For the word of God is quick (alive), and powerful and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and open unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted (tested) like as we are, yet without sin,

Let us therefore come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:12-16

Hi again! We’ve been checking out passages about the mercy of God, his grace and just how truly close he is.

Now we’ll look at why it is so imperative for us to build not only that relationship with him but the confidence in that relationship.

We know that he is there, has been there, and will be there.

James 4:7,8 first line: ” Submit yourselves therefore unto God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw nigh (near)to God, and he will draw nigh to you…”

Just surrendering, trusting our lives to God and not putting stock into any troubles or thoughts the enemy tries to send will send the enemy on his way.

God does not force his will on us or invade our lives, so we focus on him and the more we seek him the closer we are with him.

The way we do that is through prayer, just talking to him and pouring out our hearts, giving thanks for all he has done and will do, and praising him because he is so much more than worthy of all our praise.

We also draw close each and every time we study, read, pray, or recite his word. It is our spiritual sword, and the scripture above describes the power of it.

The Bible is not just another book, His word is alive, and He is the word. Which is why of all the books ever written, the Bible is the one book that the world seeks to change and rewrite.

Search it online and you will be shocked. at what China is attempting right now.

But all that is for another post 😊 I’ll hush, or I’ll end up on one of my tangents and take forever to get to the point of this post.

Once we understand the sheer supernatural power of his word, we are also to understand that he is our high priest.

He is not one who looks down on us, as someone who has never having experienced our human lives but is one who has been tested in every area that we are.

Any emotion we feel, he completely understands because he came here and lived just as we do only his life was sinless as he is the Lamb and spotless sacrifice for our sins.

Everything we feel, he has felt and can feel and in that he knows exactly how to help us, even when we don’t understand what we even need.

Once we understand this, we can then go boldly to his throne in prayer because we know we have been given his grace, we know he loves us and will hear our prayers and take care of whatever the need or request may be.

You can have confidence in that.

Love & Peace to you until tomorrow!
