FOOD FOR THE FAMINE

“Behold, the days will come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor thirst for water, but of hearing of the words of the LORD.” AMOS 8:11

I think that verse sums it up.

How I and many, I am sure, long for the days of old.

Days in the not so distant past when God’s word was God’s word and there have always been those wolves in sheep’s clothing that twist scripture to try to pervert the listener from the truth but they had much less opportunity before the rise of social media.

And nothing, nothing like these jokers we have to contend with today.

YouTubers, Podcasters, completely AI generated content supposably answering Bible Questions, trolls who love to viciously and negatively comment on others posts not caring about the truth but only to get their kicks causing drama and pacifying their egoistical need to believe that the are superior.

Pacifying being the operative word there.

Suddenly somehow everyone is a Bible expert and my heart breaks for those who are trying to find the actual truth, who may know very little about the word of God, want to learn about him and have fallen into rabbit hole after rabbit hole of false, often blasphemous teachings and ideologies.

This post is a plea, take time, take a week or even just one day away from the internet, away from these people and I do realize that sometimes we are curious or something is said that we want to rebuke for the sake of the truth of the Gospel.

But don’t.

The devil uses this nonsense to misdirect and beguile those who are in error and he uses it to cause anger and agitation in those who know the truth.

My pet peeve with it is the ones who love to start something controversial and then bash everyone else that stands for the truth, all the while screaming, what a great Christian or teacher/ preacher they themselves are, and everyone are bigots, and phobic.

If they are truly who they claim to be they would care about souls rather than trying to boost their content, the proof is in the pudding, and as the Bible teaches us we know a tree by its fruit.

Their words and actions reveal the truth of their blackened souls.

Purchase a King James Version of the Bible or download the KJV Bible APP, or go online to KJV or NKJV, I personally do not recommend any other version because there are so many versions including one specifically created for the purpose of perverting the Gospel and villainizing Jesus which is absolute blasphemy, that is the reason I say that.

Stay with the originals you will not run the risk of false teachings.

KJV often have margin notes translating the Old English words and referring you to other passages dealing with the same subject.

NKJV has slightly more modern English.

Both have dictionary and glossary to help with specific subject matter, and many have a helps section with verse reference for different topics.

The online has commentaries and extra help with the search bar and many options to help in study and understanding, just scroll and send a little time becoming familiar with it, it now has the Greek to English for words in verses so that if you want you can study it based on the original meaning of the indiviaul words and how they are used.

When you read it or listen to it for yourself, you know for yourself.

Seek out a good devotional by an actual reputable minister that you have researched and I recommend ones that have been around for decades, those who were preaching and teaching when it actually required work and self sacrifice, seeking God and his anointing for their sermons.

Not haphazardly creating one by typing a subject into a bot and ordering up a sermon delivered by a human looking avatar.

God’s word is real, it is truth, it is alive and those who are truly called and anointed of God to do the job, will not tell the world what they want to hear or what is currently socially acceptable, they give people God’s actual word for the renewing of your mind, heart, and encouragement for your soul.

The more we listen to these people the more confused we will be,

God does not bring confusion, people bring confusion.

1 CORTHIANS 14:33: “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”

As we discussed in our last post, those who do not know right from wrong concerning the house of God because no one has ever taught them.

As with salvation, it is made so much harder than it has to be, there is no special prayer that must be prayed over us by a certain preacher, there isn’t a set amount of money we must give at a specific time for God to accept us.

God only requires us to repent, believe in him, accept him, and repent and turn away from those sins, and we will be forgiven, all sin.

Those who have been knee deep in sorcery and have been brainwashed into thinking that they are eternally lost, can repent, it simply means change your mind, and allow God to change your ways.

The enemy lies to people trying to convince them that they are to far gone to be saved, that God will not accept them, and that is such a lie.

ISAIAH 1:18: “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow: though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.“

That is God inviting all who will to come and decide together with him and repent and ask forgiveness and accept the washing away of those sins by the blood of the spotless lamb of God.

We can never change ourselves and the minute we truly accept Christ, he changes us and all things become new, we don’t have the same attitude, we don’t want to go to the same places we once did, he gives us a new heart.

Everyone can experience temptation after salvation, but we take those struggles to God in prayer, he takes care of that also.

The best kept secret with it all, because it is so hard to explain to someone until they know Christ, is this, we are not who were once were .

The moment we accept him we become completely new in our minds, our hearts, it is such a transformation that we can never fully understand it until we experience it.

Just take time away from all these other distractions, so many doctrines, and they are just that, doctrines, a human teaching what a human wants to teach or an opinion that is theirs and is not the word of God.

Check on this passage:

1 Timothy 6:3-5: “If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings.

Perverse disputings of evil men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.“

When they are teaching anything contrary to the word of God and the reasons that they do.

Do not get lured into their games, they will argue about the word, about God and only to lead us into farther distress.

2 Timothy 2:14-16: ” Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them (reminding) before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit but to the subverting of the hearers.

Study to shew thyself approved of God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase into more ungodliness.”

Basically, do not argue over the word of God, those who twist it do not care about the truth, they only want to sway those who listen to them.

Instead we are to study for ourselves, understanding the word correctly and shun those who pervert it, do not discuss it or argue the point it leads to more ungodliness because they want to upset believers so that then can accuse us once they have gotten a reaction from us.

Shun them, shun them do not listen to them and fill your heart and mind with his word and good things while keeping away from all the negativity and you will be amazed by the results.

1 PETER 3: 8-18: ” Finally, be ye all of one mind (purpose) having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful (compassionate) be courteous:

Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing (arguing) : but contrariwise blessing; knowing that you are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

For he that will love his life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile (useless words)

Let him eschew (shun) evil, and do good, let him seek peace, and ensue it.

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

But if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to answer to every man that asketh you a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and fear (reverence);

Having a good conscience, that whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conscience in Christ.

For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.”

Don’t argue with them and let them rant all they want, they will answer to God for that.

Be ready to share your faith with those who ask sincerely wanting to know more about the hope and peace over your life through Jesus Christ.

When we approach this from the Bible standpoint, we realize that the reasoning behind the drama as just an attempt to get us to react in anger and frustration that the enemy uses to attack our reputation and destroy our testimony.

When the famine comes you will be well fed and well stored and can share the truth with those who have been starved of the word in this world.

Thanks for reading! Love & Peace until next time!
