I do want to assure you that it is not Jesus’ intention or desire for anyone to be mistreated, abused in any form, and most certainly of all, he does not require his children to stay in these relationships as “Christian duty” as was often taught by those of old.
Forgive me, but I truly hold the belief that these unscriptural teachings were nothing more that man’s desire to twist the word of God to suit his devilish, abusive desires rather than allowing the word of God to change those wrong desires and bring wickedness under submission to Christ.
Jesus is kind, merciful, compassionate, and above all gentle.
Those are the qualities he desires to develop in his children and those are the qualities in which he desires his children to be treated with.
I do pray that in this list you will find a post that will give you his word concerning what you may be struggling with.
