“And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor the sea, nor on any tree.
And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
And I heard the number of them with were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of Israel.
Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Rueben were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.
After this I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues (languages), stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.” REVELATION 7:1-9
The age-old argument of Christian versus Jew is something that really needs settled and it should have been settled over two-thousand years ago.
It is very understandable why some Jews would dislike Christians and we as Christians need to try to understand God’s word on the subject and have enough of him indwelling in us to show them grace as we ourselves have been shown grace.
And there is no excuse for Christians to be hating on the Jews.
I wanted to really get into the scripture on this and just do a once and for all post so that anyone who would like scriptures on the grand mystery will have them and I hope it will be helpful in settling minds on the subject.
Satan causes discord and if those who were grafted in fail to stand with God’s chosen then we can expect the same when those same forces come for us, we will find ourselves standing alone.
If you were Jewish and you were waiting for the Messiah to come, you would indeed probably not want to follow people who say that he already has and you would also not want to deny your faith until your eyes were divinely opened.
Again, this part of the great mystery of Jehovah God and we as Christians have the New Testament to concord with the Old Testament.
We indeed serve the same God.
It’s like two sides of the same coin and in the end it will all circle right back around.
Replacement theology is not Biblical and I truly believe many will find themselves without a seat at the table of God if they do not repent and quit spreading this false doctrine like wildfire throughout the world.
They have spurned more hatred, contempt, and sorrow towards a people who have already suffered unlike any people throughout time.
I ponder it and never can figure out if they are so truly arrogant that they believe themselves to have some sort of insider knowledge of whom God chooses to bring into his kingdom. could they really be that arrogant?
Probably, and the rest just hear and spread it.
I started with the verse from Revelation, because it is from the Book of Revelation!
The book with the name that literally means the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
So, there is Jesus, our Messiah, having his angels seal up those of the tribes of Israel.
It doesn’t say seal up the Baptists, the Pentecostals, the Catholics, the Adventists, and so on, it says specifically the names of the tribes of Israel.
And then it goes on to mention us, all the rest of his followers, some from every nation and people of the entire earth.
This is as the seventh seal is to be broken. God is separating his people as everything on earth is getting ready to go down, or should I say come down.
But God’s people are very much a part of this, where is the replacement in that?
The Jews believe that Elijah the prophet will come before the Messiah.
This is why:
MALACHI 3:1: “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.”
MALACHI: 4: 5: “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:”
John the Baptist:
LUKE 3: 3-6: ” And he (John) came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias (Isaiah) the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
Every valley shall be filled, and every hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth,
And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.”
We have looked at Revelation and as most know many Bibles have the words of Jesus in red, so we have no doubt, not that we do, but we know this is direct words from the Master himself, speaking of John the Baptist.
Mtthew 11:7-15: ” As they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.
But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.
For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare the way before thee.
Verily I say unto you, among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
And from the days of John of the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
*And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was to come.
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
That is Jesus actually telling us that John fulfilled that prophecy.
If we have spiritual ears to hear we will hear.
The deal was that John was pretty rough, he was filled with the Holy Ghost from his mother’s womb, he was prepared for his job in the desert, he wore a tunic of camel hair with a leather belt, and he preached a radical message that they had not heard in such a way before.
This is why Jesus referenced what they were going out to see, many at the time saw John as they saw Jesus, they were filled with that kind of arrogance that the prophet of God surely would be finely dressed and hanging out in the temple not absolute raw devotion baptizing people in the Jordan.
This is the same hang up they had with Jesus, they could not possibly believe that the Son of God, the Messiah, that they had waited for would be a simple carpenter who spent his life mistering to the lost, hurt, and troubled. Performing miracles and showing love, compassion, and kindness rather than herald his arrival at the temple in grand robes and having audience only with the priest and elders.
Again, as we discussed in the previous post, It is arrogance, absolute arrogance.
They rejected him because he didn’t fit their image of what the Messiah would be.
That is why I wanted to do this post, I have many posts with similar information, but I truly pray that this will give any the scriptural foundation to see what is actually there.
God did not replace Israel and of course no human is good, and no government is perfect and the secular aspect of Isreal needs to come back to Jehovah.
The most ridiculous claim is that the Jews aren’t the Jews and that bears such stupidity that it doesn’t even merit an answer.
Just as our nation has sinned against God with abortion and other laws that are contrary to God,
All nations, as Governing bodies are at odds with God at the moment but that does not mean that God does not have children in those nations.
But none of these things change the fact that Israel and Israel alone is his chosen and where he has chosen to put his name and where he will rule earth, New Jerusalem.
Not New America, New France, or New Philippines.
The sleep of Israel, the coming awakening of Israel, and the benefit to all mankind, and the warning of arrogance concerning the treatment of them, and the salvation of them.
ROMANS 11:1-32: “I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew, Wot (Know) ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life (want to kill me).
But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
Even so then at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
And if by grace, then it is no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace, But if it be of works then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election (believers in Christ) hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded (spiritually).
(According as it is written God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear) unto this day.
And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompense unto them:
Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their backs alway.
I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid. but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles (non-Jew believers) , for to provoke them to jealousy.
Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? (if this led to the salvation of the Gentiles how much more wonderful when the truth is revealed to his chosen)
For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh (my people) and might save some of them.
For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree wert (were) graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Boast not thyself against the branches, But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Thou wilt then (will instead) say, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
Well; because of their unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded (arrogant, proud or boastful that you are a Christian), but fear:
For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also not spare thee.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee (you), goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in; For God is able to graff them in again.
For if thou wert (were) cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be natural branches be graffed into their own olive tree?
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant (unaware) of this mystery, lest ye be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentile be come in.
And so ALL Israel shall be saved: As it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance (irrevocable).
For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief.
Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.”
I know that was a lot, but you can see clearly God’s salvation plan here.
Now we are going to double down and go back to Jesus, as he explains this to the disciples. He spoke in parables for this very reason.
Just as those today who truly do not understand his word nor know him, cry out against his chosen, all the while professing to follow him.
MATTHEW 13:13-16: “Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
And in them is fulfilled the prophesy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears for they hear.”
This is why they were sent to the “lost sheep of Israel” first. Then to the nations.
These guys were Jews; Jesus was a Jew.
Spiritually, believers are all Jews!
ROMANS 2:28,29: For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which outward in the flesh;
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”
One day all the believers are going to a grand Jewish wedding, better known as the marriage supper of the Lamb.
I actually heard one dispute the scriptural basis for the marriage supper, but it is in there.
Again, that is why it is vital to study our Bible, we know for ourselves.
We started with Revelation and end times, we looked at Jesus’ words, we covered ancient Israel, We know that they are waiting on the Messiah and we are awaiting his return.
And best of all, we know that he is working it all out according to his divine plan, for the good of his chosen and for us, whom he had mercy upon and all that is yet to be saved.
Now we are going end it going back to Revelation.
Twelve Hebrew tribe leaders, twelve apostles, followers of Jesus.
REVELATION 4:4: “And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads twelve crowns of gold.”
REVELATION 21:10-14: “And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed (showed) me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the apostles of the Lamb.”
As Jesus foretold this moment to his disciples at the Lord’s supper, commonly referred to as the Last supper.
LUKE 22:29,30: “And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my father hath appointed unto me;
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
From beginning to the absolute end and back again, Israel is eternal and will never be forsaken.
Love & Peace till next time!
